In 2008 we sadly lost our friend Dale Jacobs to cancer.  Dale was a very popular man, always charming and full of fun. To remember this lovely friend, we have held two charity football matches to raise money for Macmillan.

For the third remembrance event we are planning a 7½ mile walk, encompassing the most beautiful parts of London: from Leyton Orient to picturesque Millwall. This will take place on the morning of the Millwall v Orient match, 24th April 2010, departing E10 at 10.30am and crossing Tower Bridge, before arriving at Zempa Road to watch the game.

Then on 15th May at 1pm we will be contesting the third Dale Jacobs Memorial Trophy at Brisbane Road with Leyton Orientear desperately hoping for their first win against LOFT.  Both teams will feature another ex-Orient legend.

After the game, there will be an auction in the West Stand, before an evening's entertainment in The Birkbeck Tavern, Leytonstone, featuring music from 6 of White and DJ John.

All money raised from the event will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, please give generously in memory of Dale and to support those affected by cancer. Thank you
