Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my 2nd Standard Chartered 10K run and UNICEF are one of their listed charities.

Since they are on the ground in over 150 countries I thought this would be a great charity to support and with your help we can make a difference!

Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF is a global humanitarian relief organisation providing children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, protection and emergency relief.

Since this is my first time running for a charity and I've set my target very realistically and realise that every penny counts! So whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

Your money really does make a difference to children’s lives. UNICEF is funded entirely by voluntary contributions – they receive no money from the UN budget. For every pound that you donate to UNICEF UK, 76p goes directly to work with children.

Every day, 22,000 children die—and they don‘t have to. They die from causes most people in Ireland rarely worry about. Malnutrition. Unsafe drinking water. Lack of proper medicines and vaccines. UNICEF is doing whatever it takes to reduce child mortality and reach a day when the number of children dying from preventable causes is not 22,000—it is zero.

£1000 pounds can provide over 1200 sachets of therapeutic food to malnourished children - each portion can save a child's life!

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you and God bless
