CHASE hospice care for children and The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice will come together on 1 April 2011 to become Shooting Star CHASE. www.shootingstarchase.org.uk

Story

I did it! I achieved all three of my targets. (1) Completing the London Marathon; (2) without stopping and (3) in under five hours. I finished in 4 hours and 44 minutes. What a day!

It's not too late to donate in aid of The Shooting Star Children's Hospice which, this year, celebrates 5 years of providing care services to children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and support to their families.

The hospice needs to keep caring for many more years to come so please help by making a donation (small or large, every penny counts).

Finally, you may have heard that I am leaving Shooting Star shortly to take up a new role as Managing Director of Global Charities, part of Global Radio (the UK's largest commercial radio group). It would be a fitting swan song if I can hit my target and raise funds for Shooting Star which will make such a difference to the children and families we support. I can think of few better causes so please dig deep to support.

Thank you and I promise I will not ask again for a long time!
