Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Functional Neurological Disorder is an awful condition with very little understanding, care, treatment and support.  It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since Etta was diagnosed.

We were left to find out what was happening to her ourselves and getting treatment and support was a huge struggle.   It shouldn't be that way.  I want to help do something about it for the sake of others.

Imagine suddenly finding yourself not able to speak, write or walk and having seizures leaving you temporarily paralysed then being discharged with no idea what's happening and no treatment or care.  Awareness amongst the medical profession and the public must be raised in order that sufferers may understand what's happening to them and where to go for support and treatment and support may be improved.

My dad and his friend are climbing Snowdon in aid of Hope and Homes for Children and I've decided to join them but raise funds for FND Action.  Their aims are to raise awareness of FND, enable sufferers and their families and friends to better understand what's happening to them and provide support for sufferers and carers.   Your support would be greatly appreciated.
