My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi, my name is Dan Paddon and i'm 14 years old. I am taking part in the Essex Dragon Boat Games. Myself and 10 of my Dad's work colleagues from Handelsbanken have put a team together.Our team name is, 'Tim's Handelsbanken Wariors'. We have already donated £400 to enter the race but we know we can do more.
Recently my Dad Tim has been diagnosed with a type of blood cancer called myelodysplastic syndrome. Ever since his diagnosis I have wanted to do something to raise money and donate it to a good cause. When I heard about this boat race I immediately wanted to take part in it. The team and I will be massivly appreciative of any money you are able to donate; big or small it all helps. With your help we can beat blood cancer!

Thank you to everyone that has donated money and left such supportive comments. I am glad to say Dad is doing really well and is in remission. Also thanks to you guys the team and I managed to raise the most money out of all 30 teams!! THANK YOU
Our first race is at 11:20 but the races kick off, well row off at 10.
Tim's Handelsbanken warriors need your support. So come down this sunday (8th July) to support us and the event. (read my previous post). IT WILL BE A GREAT DAY.
It will be a great day watching us 'get wet' and also we have a great line up of 48 races, live music, children’s entertainment and activities, bungee basketball and lots more to keep the whole family entertained.
Thank you everyone for your donations and kind messages you have left for my family and I to read. I am happy to announce that my dad is on the mend and should be down at the race on Sunday :)
