Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm doing it again - but this time with the added bonus of a Triathlon at the end of it!
As many of you will already be aware, my Brother in Law Craig lost his long battle with cancer in November 2010. As a result of trying to find a positive way to grieve, I found that I enjoyed open water swimming and so I competed in a number of events to raise money for cancer research.
Well I'm back and this year the challenges are bigger and better than ever. I will be competing in all of the Speedo Open Water Swim series (I've already done 2!) and (I still find it hard to say this) completing an Olympic distance Triathlon in September.
Last year you were all incredibly generous - so please this year give if you can, but mroe importantly ask your friends and colleagues to donate too. Ask them to picture me swim 1500m, cycle 40km and then run 10km. I am to running what tanks are to floating so this will be a massive challenge.
I have been chosen as a 'Speedo Star' and will be working with them, blogging about my training experiences, getting coaching hints and tips and some excellent gear to help me in my goals.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Much love and massive thanks
