Hi everyone, this is Kim, writing on Dan's behalf - he's awful at things like this, but he's very good, it seems, at cycling! Dan cycled the 18 miles from Hollingbourne to Seasalter on Sunday 11 September, and the pub, strategically chosen by friend Paul Dixon as the finishing point, was not the only incentive!
Our younger kids' go to Hollingbourne Primary School, and they have teamed up with a school in Malawi, where life is pretty tough. Our Headmaster from Hollingbourne has been to Malawi and visited the school, and by return the Headmaster of Kaputu School has been to visit us...the children exchange letters, pictures etc.
Money that you donate will go towards helping the local community grow maize, in what are very difficult climatic conditions, and also towards the education of their children. Any amount you can donate will be so very much appreciated. Please help us reach our target of £400!!! Thank you! Kim & Dan of course, being as he had to do the cycling. What follows is the standard info...
