Hi there!
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!
We know that in recent years there have been a plethora of such pages sent out to you by people for different fundraising schemes- and it can be hard to donate to everyone in these 'Troubled Economic Times'.
So thanks for making the effort to do this for us- and more importantly for the MS Society, on whose behalf we are sacrificing our feet, legs and time.
When we foolishly, and all-too-quickly, signed up to run the EDF Energy Birmingham half marathon, we realised we had a great chance to hopefully raise some money for a cause which was important to us, and in this case especially poignant for Dan...
Dan: "My sister Katie was diagnosed with MS in 2006. Since that time it has always been an objective of mine to support the MS Society in some way. They offer those diagnosed with MS the foundation on which they can improve many aspects of their lives. Be it through information about MS, grants and funding, physical and emotional support as well as much needed research into the condition. Therefore when this opportunity arose to run the half marathon, I had no doubt that I would use this event to raise as much money as possible for this truly worthwhile charity. I hope I can count on your support."

We have no experience or love of running, and currently our fitness may not be all we'd hope- this is a real challenge. Aaron up 'til now will only run if it's absolutely necessary in football to score a goal, whilst Dan, despite being a reborn cyclist, is hoping there'll be smoking points around the marathon course.
This really will be a challenge for us, and as I write this we are very aware of the training that awaits us.

Just a bit of blurb now....
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. We've both done it before for various good causes, and we're sure you will have done as well. But just for your own mental well-being please be assured that your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send you any unwanted email spam. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the MS Society and make sure any Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please, take a few minutes now and support us in this -we really do appreciate that you're on here and helping.
Cheers,
Dan & Aaron
