<p>With regret I returned to Oxford this weekend having made it as far as Buxton. This was due to a combination of factors including minor ankle injury, back and shoulder strain, and equipment issues meaning that walking sufficient distance daily, carrying any significant weight and keeping dry all became virtually impossible, all at once.
