Over the last 5 or 6 years I have been involved in several events - LightQuest, Dreamwalk and Lightwalk - in aid of the North Devon Hospice under the direction of Dave Bryant.
Working with Dave & the team opened my eyes to the world of event management, an experience which had a lasting effect on both my career plan and wider aspirations.
A couple of years ago Dave passed away after a long illness, his final days were spent at the North Devon Hospice amongst friends and family (in the new wing part funded by the events he organised). I hope with sponsorship raised by my running the Great North Run I can help the hospice continue its brilliant work.
