We are taking part in Tough Guy 2010 - www.toughguy.co.uk. Tough Guy advertises itself as "the toughest test of strength and endurance on Earth!" The challenge consists of an 8-country mile run, followed by an assault course known as The Killing Fields. This has 22 obstacles to overcome, including running over fire, the icey underwater tunnels and running through a maze of electrified wires.
So that all our pain and suffering is not just a pointless exercise to prove something as we hit 30 years old, please donate as much as you can. The funds we raise will be split between Cecily's Fund and Fund for Heroes, the main charity of Tough Guy.
Cecily's Fund - charity number 1071660
Cecily's Fund supports the education of around 11,000 Zambian AIDS orphans and vulnerable children. Education gives them hope, self-respect and life skills, including an understanding of how to avoid HIV and AIDS.
Royal Marines Benevolent Fund - charity number 1134205-1
The RMBF was formed to relieve need, distress or hardship suffered by any person who is serving, has served or is a dependant of a Royal Marine, irrespective of rank. It also provides immediately on the death of either a serving RM or a reservist on duty a sum of money for the next of kin to help them cope with any pressing financial matters.
