Hello, my name is Daniel Abbott and I am from Weydon School.

Recently Weydon School has been establishing links between a school in Ghana and itself.  The result of this link is going to be a trip to Ghana between July and August 2010.  In case you didn't know, my birthday is on 1st August.  I will be spending my birthday in Ghana!  The trip will last for 3 weeks and we have to raise all of the £2150 ourselves.  I have been warned though, that the conditions will not be very nice.  We will have a bucket shower and our toilet will be a hole in the ground!  Also there will be a large risk of infectious diseases such as, Malaria, Yellow Fever and Rabies.

I have now completed my bungee jump!  It was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of giving it a try. 
I am currently doing bag packing for Sainsbury’s to try and raise some more money, which should get £50-£70 each time. 

Thank you for all the donations that you have given me, I am very grateful.  Soon I will be sending a message out to everybody who has given me donations, on or of-line. 

Also I have recently helped out in a doughnut sale at our school.  My friend bought 360 doughnuts from Krispy Kreme and we sold them all within 15 minutes!  It was the craziest thing I have ever seen. 

I have started getting my jabs for the trip.  I have already had Hepatitis A and B and had the school booster jab.  In April I am due to have the rest of them; it's going to be a painful month! 

My next fundraising idea is to send lots of letters to lots of different companies.  I have already drafted my letter and am finding the addresses of the companies.  If you have any fundraising ideas of your own feel free to email them to me.  I would appreciate your help.
