Story

In 2010, I am aiming to run 500 miles and on Dec 31st I completed the full 500 miles.

For those proper runners, this may not seem much, but if you know me, then you know I struggle to run to the bar for last orders. And if you know me, you ought to sponsor me.

1p a mile would be £5.00 and I would be greatly motivated. (Of course, any more would be greatly appreciated)

This is the charity: Josie's Dragonfly Trust, a great charity and a marvellous cause.

Go to their site and learn all about it, and also buy some marvellous jewellery to support the charity.

Dec 31st, 2010 - 100%

I've finished!

500 miles run over 2010!

In total: 74 runs, 502 miles, 82 hours 15 mins.

January: 56.28m (I wasn't working so I had too much time)
February: 34.74m
March: 52.82m
April: 18.44m (but I was stuck in Italy with volcanic ash)
May: 57.77
June: 38.16
July: 47.77
August: 53.16
September: 44.03
October: 29.39 (I started college and struggled with motivation)
November: 26.03 (As above but I also had an essay to do)
December: 43.63

May 16th, 2010 - 38%

A quick update. After an extended volcanic ash holiday in Sicily, where I managed to just one bare foot run along the beach, I'm getting back on track.

My next target is to run home from work, or Westminster to Ladywell.

But in the meantime, some stats.

January - 56 miles

February - 34 miles

March - 52 miles

April - 18 miles

May (so far) - 29 miles

This is all strange, as I've run furthest in January right at the start and when I was running through the snow. Although, I had more time to run when I wasn't working, so I'm running fewer longer runs now.

Longest run - March 29th - 10.9 miles (Holborn to Ladywell via Greenwich and Blackheath)

Shortest run - April 28th - 2.62 miles (weighed down by two weeks of daily pasta, beer and wine)

March 21st, 2010 - 25%!

I'm now passed 25% (126.06 miles to be precise over 20 runs).

So all going well - thanks go out to all those who have promised to help along the way (and thanks for the general disbelief from others!)

That's all for now.
March 3rd, 2010 An update and thanks

Big thanks must go out to the very nice people at Pilon - who have agreed to donate £1 a mile once I have finished. It is a massive motivation and massive help.

Thanks again to Pilon.

For everyone else, if you want to wait until I finish, let me know and I'll add it to the blog total, or you can donate on the site now for it to appear in my big graphic-y total thing, which looks a bit sad at the moment.
