Dan is entering the event in Memory of his mother Helena Boardman and to raise money for St Catherines Hospice of Preston Lancashire.

The people at St Catherines Hospice are amazing and rely on charitable funding.

Please dig deep and consider how wonderfully special and caring these people and charities are.

Steve Bray will be riding with Dan, if it wasn’t for them both egging each other in the office then they could have had a peaceful Sunday at home!

The Event

The Fred Whitton Challenge is a gruelling 112 mile sportive challenge ride for charity around the Lake District, run in memory of Fred Whitton.

"With just 10 days notice and no training it will be just as much of a mental ordeal as it will be physically."

It starts & finishes at Coniston, and the route includes the mountain climbs of Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott & Wrynose passes.
