Story

Hi, thanks for visting my just giving page. This year im planning on doing a number of personal challenges, pushing myself to the limit, which culminates eventually in an ironman in 2013....

However my first big challenge is called 'The Fred'. The fred whittion challenge, in brief is a 112 mile cycle race (i say 'race' in the loosest possible term) around the lake district taking in some of the steepest and longest hills in brtiain. It is widley regarded as the toughest race in Britiain and certinaly the most daunting. 6 mountain passes including Kirkstone, Whinlatter, Honister, Hardknott, Wyronse & Newlands. This wouldnt look out of place in a mountain stage of the Tour De France!

All the passes range from 15% to 33% incline. All in a day. My aim - to do this in under 10 hours. We'll see.

Have a look at some of the photos from last year ive put up

For more info on the challenge, please vist the website:

http://www.fredwhittonchallenge.org.uk/index.php

The charity im rasing for is a great charity who aim to make cycling accesible to everyone, including those with a disability across the UK www.cycling.org.uk
