Story
This is not a derelict house, this is home for a family living in the Peruvian shanty town of Las Laderas...and they are not the only ones, 60,000 people live there. The harsh reality of their life is a daily struggle to feed their families whilst battling constantly against the elements.
We want to change that by rehousing 500 of the poorest. In June I will be leading a group of volunteers, working 12 hours a day under the Andean sun to help build new homes.
Just £600 will provide a family with a warm, dry place to live, with a roof, 4 walls, floors and a door. Things we take for granted.
Take a moment to see and hear what a difference your support can make in this short summary video: http://bit.ly/ProjectPeru2013
Please help us to help as many families in Las Laderas as possible.
100% your money will be spent on building the houses. None of it will be spent on bureaucracy, wages or expenses unlike many charities.
You can be safe in the knowledge that for every £600 we raise another house gets built and another family has a better life to look forward to.
