Jersey Row, Cycle, Run Challenge · 2 October 2015

Seeing is Believing is a global initiative to help eliminate avoidable blindness. We help bring affordable eye-care to some of the poorest communities in the world. We’re a collaboration between Standard Chartered Bank and the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).

Story

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Jersey Marathon and to raise £50,000 for Seeing is Believing we are organising a unique team challenge around Jersey. 2 teams will race against each other in three disciplines; rowing, cycling and running. The teams will be made up of employees from across Europe and the winning team will be crowned Jersey GTO Challenge Champions.

I will be taking part in all three challenges. This involves rowing one lap of Jersey on the Friday, then cycling  two laps of a 51 mile circuit around Jersey on the Saturday. Each lap will have a number of steep climbs which total an ascent of over 2000m. On Sunday I will run a leg in a marathon relay team. On Monday morning i will be back in the office resting....i mean working.
