Both my Mum and my Nan spent the last years of their lives with Alzheimer's Disease with Mum finally passing away 18 months ago. It is heartbreaking witnessing a loved one slowly slipping away with this condition from occasional forgetfulness through to confusion and even forgetting who their family are. I support the Alzheimer's Society and their work in researching this disease in the hope that one day the condition will be treatable.

The 3 Peaks Challenge is something I have wanted to do as a personal challenge for many years and I have the opportunity to do it this Summer so please support this charity and encourage me in completing hiking over Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon and hopefully completing it in 24 hours including travelling between the mountains!
