We research, educate and disseminate advice to predict, prevent and eliminate genocide

Story

As a keen cyclist who regularly rides 50-60 miles and more the idea of cycling 100km on a city card cycle just appealed to me. Especially given it only has 3 gears and is not the usual lightweight I am used to!

The overall aim of completing the challenge is to help raise money for the Aegis Trust, a brilliant charity who manage a nationwide peace building programme in Rwanda, to prevent genocide and saves lives. Their aim is to raise money to support the end to genocide across the world

The Citycard Cycle Team comprises Nottingham City Council employees from across many service areas who are challenging themselves to complete the Aegis Citycard Cycle 100km Challenge on our very own Citycard Cycle hire bikes!

Bryan Steel, a four time Olympic Cyclist and Medalist will be joining the Citycard Cycle Team for the ride completing the challenge on a Citycard Cycle to help raise money for the Aegis Trust. You can find out more information about Bryan and his fantastic achievements by visiting the Bryan Steel website
