London to Brighton Cycle 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·

We provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time, to everyone who needs us; all of our hospice services are free of charge. It costs £6m per year to provide our services but we receive just 13% of this from the Government. We rely on support from our amazing community fundraisers.

Story

We are a team of over 40 employees, customers and suppliers and are taking on the challenge of the London to Brighton Cycle Ride to raise money for our 2016 Charity of the Year, St Peter and St James’ Hospice. This charity provided tremendous support to our colleague, Dave Payne, and his family following his diagnosis of terminal cancer in 2015.  Dave sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this year and he is sorely missed by everyone at ILG.

The London to Brighton is a 54 Mile Ride, which is a challenge in itself and around 45 miles in is Ditchling Beacon, the third highest point on the South Downs in the South East, and has featured as part of the Tour of Britain, with some serious gradient during the climb!

St Peter and St James Hospice is not only an amazing charity but one which has supported a great colleague. I appreciate you visiting and reading my Just Giving Page, please donate generously and thank you for your support.
