Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon on the 29th May 2016 in preparation for another Half Marathon in Disneyland Paris in September.

I have decided to run for Prostate Cancer as it is a disease which has directly affected me twice in my life with my Granddad Geoff Thomson and more recently my Granddad Pete Mellor.

1 in 8 men will be affected by Prostate Cancer in their lives. Running for Prostate Cancer UK raises more awareness and helps give them the support to try and reduce the number of men affected.

I am not renowned for doing a lot of exercise and definitely not long distances, with the longest being 10k. 13.1miles will be the farthest I have ever run and I am doing 2 of these this year.

Please donate whatever you can.

Thanks
