Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a charity set up in 1990 by people sick of seeing the ocean they love polluted. We campaign to protect the ocean and all it makes possible, by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top. We're calling for an end to sewage and plastic pollution.

Story

Everyone has heard of Dry January, but this year I am taking it up a notch. Royal Holloway University of London's Surf Club have challenged the student body to drink nothing but water for the entirety of January, in an attempt to raise money for the incredible charity 'Surfers Against Sewage', an environmental charity protecting the UK's oceans, waves and beaches for all to enjoy safely and sustainably. So I'm stepping up to the challenge, representing Royal Holloway's Trampolining Club.

The month will include not buying bottled water, only using one bottle for the entire month in an attempt to reduce waste. Just as RHUL Surf Club will be doing, for every drink we consume that isn't just water we will donate £2 to the fundraising amount. That includes tea, coffee, and even flavoured water. I'm sure this month will be much harder than anticipated!

Please give generously, and remember to use Gift Aid if you qualify for it, as that means even more money goes towards the charity!
