2010 Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon · 3 July 2010 ·

1 in 100 people have coeliac disease, yet only 36% are diagnosed. Coeliac UK empowers everyone affected, breaking down barriers, improving everyday life, offering trusted support and advancing research towards a cure. And we do it all so that one day, no one’s life will be limited by gluten.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running my first half marathon from Wolverhampton to Birmingham to raise money for Coeliac Society UK. This is a charity that provides help, advice and support for children and adults that have been diagnosed with Coeliac disease. This can be for anything from where to eat out, recipes to make at home, support groups and new products to try.

Coeliac disease is triggered by eating products that contain gluten and wheat and causes the body to attack its own tissues damaging the lining of the small intestine.

The Coeliac Society is important to me as it has helped my family and I, since my brother was diagnosed earlier this year.

So please support me with the half marathon and support Coeliac Society UK.

Thanks

Dani
