So as many of you will agree I have finally lost the running plot and decided to attempt the Dublin Marathon in October!!!
I am running this to raise money for the Coeliac UK. Coeliac disease is an auto- immune disease. Gluten, which is found in wheat, barley and rye triggers an immune reaction in people with coeliac disease. This means that eating gluten damages the lining of the small intestine. This can cause a failure to grow at normal levels, malnutition, bloating and abdominal pain!
Coeliac disease has an effect on everyday living, including shoping in the supermarket, eating out, parties and now affects one in a 100 people in the UK.
The Coeliac UK is a charitable organisation that recieves no Government funding, its aim is to the improve the lives of people with coeliac disease through support, campaigning and research.
So please sponsor me for attempting a marathon and support Coeliac UK.
