Story
So what am I up to?!
A one-mile outdoor swim in the heart of the capital, in Victoria Dockalnds. Yes in the dirty stinky THAMES!
I think a few facts to really justify why I don’t want to do this:
I drink too much
I smoke too much
I don’t exercise enough
God knows whats in the water with me
I look terrible in an orange swimming hat
It’s very very very very hard!!!
Reasons why I am doing it
Raise money for The Space
I drink too much
I smoke too much
I don’t exercise enough
My brother in law made me!!!
I have been training 3 times a week as I don't want to come last!! and want to beat my brother in law as he got me into this mess!!! After getting over the cold I have actually enjoyed swimming in the Serpentine once a week - and yes that was before all this lovely weather.
I was introduced to the Space by David Grindley (see photo attached) and we have seen some fantastically original performances from Christmas shows to Community Opera. It is a lovely place and as the years have passed I have got to know Adam the Art Director who does a fanatstic job of creating inclusive and professional performances for all audiences. Do check out their website to see for yourself - www.space.org.uk
SO....Dig deep please and sponsor me now!
Thanks to you all who have taken the plunge with me and given me some of your hard earned cash. I recommend you visit the Space in the Isle of Dogs to see that the money is going to a very good cause.
