I suffered multiple injuries which included a severe laceration to my liver and a loss of function in my right kidney.&nbsp;Thanks to the Air Crew of the Essex Air Ambulance, I was quickly airlifted to Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge to receive the appropriate medical care.&nbsp;My family and I are extremely grateful to the EAA for saving my life, and in return I will be taking part in Challenge Italy 2012.&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-left: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; mso-line-break-override: none; word-break: normal; punctuation-wrap: hanging;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-left: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; mso-line-break-override: none; word-break: normal; punctuation-wrap: hanging;">On the 14th - 19th June, a group of trekkers and I will be scaling three legendary volcanoes: Vesuvius, Stromboli and Eta. By taking part in the trek I will help to raise much needed and vital funds to keep the EAA flying.
