Our wee sunshine Daniel was taken to heaven to play with the angels on april 13th 2009. Aged 20 months
He is our eternal sunshine!!!

We'll never forget that special day, we never felt such joy, on the day that you were born, our beautiful baby boy.
As we gazed down, upon your face, we thanked the lord above, for giving us this gift of life, this true eternal love.

We'd watch over you Daniel, lying there, so peaceful and so calm, we knew we would do anything to shelter you from harm.
Remember when we brought you home, we'd waited 9 months long, you were our precious baby, we thought you looked so strong.

If only Daniel, we'd have known, god would take you away, we would have found a way, somehow, for him to let you stay.
Now you are an angel, up in the clouds above, this is where you'll wait for us, surrounded by god's love.

We chose to call you Daniel, the name we liked the best, now we'll say a special prayer for you, as you are laid to rest.
Until the day we reunite, we're never far apart, you gave us special memories, your name's carved in our hearts.

For every time we cry for you, for every tear that fall's, we'll think of all the times we shared, our biggest memory of all.
So know we know we must stay strong, because you're looking from above.

Now lift your head and wings, as we say a special prayer, we close our eyes and think of you, the most precious Angel there.

A kiss we blow to the sky so blue, Catch it Daniel!...

it's just for you! xx x x x x x x x x xx

What is Cot Death?

Cot Death, more correctly known as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), was defined in 1969 as "the sudden death of an infant or young child which is unexpected by history and in which a thorough post mortem examination fails to demonstrate an adequate cause for death".

The term "SIDS" has since been widely used on death certificates although in the past ten years "unascertained" and "sudden unexpected death in infancy" have also become common. "Cot Death", however, is still the term understood and used by most people in the UK.

The Charity Aims:

The Scottish Cot Death Trust was founded in 1985 and has three main aims:

  • -To improve and extend the support for bereaved families
  • -To raise funds for research into the cause(s) of Cot Death
  • -To educate the public and health care professionals about Cot Death and ways of reducing the risks

-The Trust is the only charity in Scotland working to eradicate Cot Death and support the families suffering this tragedy.

The Trust offers support to all families who have suffered the sudden unexpected death of their baby or young child and to the professionals dealing with such a tragedy.
