At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On a lazy afternoon not too long ago, a so called friend of mine text me asking if i fancied doing a 45 mile run around London for charity. I readily agreed assuming nothing would come of it, and for a few weeks thats exactly what occured. Then one day he text to confirm it was occuring and i had already commited myself to the cause.

So on the 25th June 2011 a group of us are going to be running 45 miles round the streets of London, taking in all the stops on the monopoly board and having a jolly good time doing so....check out the route http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/32414032

The event itself is in aid of two charities, The Alzheimers Society and Canine Partners, two very different but very worthwhile charities affecting the lives of many people for the better. For more information on the charities and the run check out the team page:

http://www.justgiving.com/teams/the-monopoly-run-2011/

It's well worth donating to these two charitites and is basically guarenteed to give you a nice warm feeling deep down :-)

Thanks for reading guys.
