I'm raising money for Practical Action.  A charity that uses low and intermediate technology to help those in need round the world.  Examples of technology are micro-hydro power, multiple-user water systems for villages in Nepal, innovative agriculture techniquies to produce fish and rice from the same piece of land (!), and forest agriculture to protect cloud forests in South America.  Truly, Practical Action are doing some great projects.

 

The also place a large emphasis of help communities deal with the impacts of climate change, very real and threathing in parts of Africa and Asia.  You can see some of their excellent projects here:

THE EVENT

I'll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, and have a target time of 1hr 32mins.  I've not run that fast for at least a decade, so I am attempting to turn back the clock, so please incentivise me if you think this will help!  I ran 1hr 36 mins in the Berko Half earlier this year, as a guide to my form.
