I am hoping to raise money for Kidney Research as in 1994 my Mum was diagnosed with Kidney failure, eventually going onto dialysis in 1999. In 2001 she got her 1st kidney transplant which lasted only 5 years. This meant she had to go back onto a dialysis machine all night every night for the next 7 years. All of this had a impact on our family life. 

In 2012 I decided I would offer one of my Kidneys, with the transplant finally be completed after many tests in Feb 2013. I'm very pleased to say the kidney is still going strong today (Not surprising coming from an athlete like myself).
