In September this year a good friend and colleague, Michael Stead broke the news that he had been diagnosed with bowel cancer. Michael has approached this fight with the same determination and refusal to lose that he does in every other aspect of his life, something most of us are completely in awe of.

In order to help raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK, and awareness of this terrible condition many of Mike’s friends and colleagues will be taking part in Decembeard. For most, the challenge of growing a beard is more a statement of support than an actual challenge, however I have the beard growing capability of a pre-pubescent child. If the only thing I achieve by taking part in this is to make Mike laugh every time he sees me then it’s a job well done, however if you would like to contribute to this fantastic charity then all donations are gratefully received.
