Story

Hello and thank you for visiting our page!

We are a group of friends cycling from London to Budapest for JDRF - Type 1 Diabetes Research Charity.

The route we're taking is about 2100km long, starting at London, UK, then onto mainland Europe, going along Rhien and Danube rivers, through Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Slovakia, finishing in Budapest, Hungary.

Some of us have never cycled further than 20 miles before so with less than 4 months to go, the training is full on!

Our cause is type 1 diabetes, a condition that can affect anyone.
It develops when the insulin-producing cells in the body have been destroyed and the body is unable to produce any insulin. It can develop at any age but usually appears before the age of 40, and especially in childhood.
JDRF is a charitable organisation committed to finding the cure and focused solely on this particular desease.

I'm sure many of us know someone who has to live with type 1 and understand how much harder it is for them to enjoy life so please, support us in our cause, every penny counts!
