Barclays Wheels for Change 2016 · 9 September 2016 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

They say you never forget how to ride a bike...

To test this I have decided to cycle for the first time in 15 years and take part in the Wheels for Change cycling challenge led by Barclays to raise money for the Princes Trust.

With under a month to go I do not yet own a bicycle, however should be taking delivery of one in the first week of September, giving me a luxurious 3-4 days of training to jog the old cycling memory.

All jokes aside, I am taking part in this event to help raise money for an excellent cause which helps young people in the UK to change their lives and give them the skills & confidence to get into work, education or training. Greatly appreciate any monies donated to this cause and hopefully I will make it through the 100km!!
