WIZO AVIV CHALLENGE 2010 · 25 April 2010
Having just returned from a trip to Israel this November and having visited various WIZO projects, I have come back home wanting to help and do more for these projects. WIZO is an international womens zionist charity that provides various services and projects for Israeli Women and Children. Foster care homes, affordable daycare centres which therefore provides young mothers the opportunity to return to work, boarding schools for children at risk and community youth centres are just some of the projects that WIZO have funded.
During the last week in April I hope to return to Israel. This time to take part in the WIZO AVIV Challenge. I will be getting my hands dirty and getting involved hands on. It may be that I will be by helping with general renovations within a Daycare centre or another facility. I may even be helping to build a dance studio at a residential village that provides facilities for immigrant children or children from troubled households who are survivors of abuse or neglect.
Hopefully your donation will help me reach my target so that I can spend a week in Israel making a small difference to these women and children. This week will stay with me - and to those I will benefitting - forever.
