Story

Thank you for visiting the UCLU Darfur Week JustGiving Page.

Darfur IS important; the events since 2003 have reverberated around the world.

Yet one of the biggest catastrophes of the 21st century still remains relatively poorly understood. In Darfur, western Sudan, over 3 million civilians have been displaced by a 7-year civil war. What is really happening? Why? And what can be done?

Monday 30th November - Friday 04 December, UCL is hosting "Darfur Week", an official Campaign Week, sponsored by the UCL Student Union. This week-long series of events aims to tackle these questions, along with the broader issues at stake.

During Darfur Week, we are hoping to raise much-needed funds for Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF).  MSF is an international humanitarian aid organisation that provides emergency medical assistance to populations in danger in more than 80 countries, including Darfur in Sudan.

Please help us to support MSF's vital work.
