Story
I’m doing a 60 mile cycle ride to raise funds for WORLDwrite who I have recently started volunteering for. The charity runs WORLDbytes an East London based Citizen TV station, with a hardcore message of global equality and freedom with no ifs and no buts. On paper, this means rejecting immigration controls, championing material development and economic growth and refusing to accept the litany of curbs on our civil liberties and freedoms such as smoking bans, minimum pricing on alcohol and the government's constant preaching on how to eat, recycle and behave in public. To date, the station has produced upwards of 350 reports covering these and many more issues, putting on the map new ideas and pushing forth a better vision of the world. Each month, they take on a group of volunteers to help with making these programmes, providing these volunteers with the opportunity to input their ideas, with free film training and mentoring to create broadcast quality reports. However, in these tough economic times, funding has gone dry and WORLDbytes desperately needs your support to help pay for the equipment, training and bills so they can continue to provide both the much-needed reports and alternative view as well as the practical training needed to get there. So please dig deep and sponsor me on this challenging ride, give as little or as much as you can and pass the word on. The money goes straight to WORLDwrite. Thank you!
