Story

Unfortunately I am writing this with the saddest heart On November 1st 2013 Brenda passed away due to illness related to her Parkinsons. I am now asking for donations for charity to help beat this dreadful disease

In 1991 Brenda Howard (Mum) was having trouble with coordination and finding that things that were happening weren't quite right.

After afew years worth of investigation by various consultants and doctors from the National Health Service, it was discovered she had early stage 'Parkinson's Desease', this was a great shock as the desease is often considered to be a elderly consern. Brenda at the time was only 39 years old (Hardly in the age group you'd expect)

In the 90's it was discovered that the like of Mohammed Ali & Micheal J Fox had Parkinson's it showed it can strike any age group & any spectrum of life

since that day the roller-coster ride she's been through has left all members of the family stunned at times. These range from times when medication grew too weak to control the symtoms to times when she couldn't speak or open her hands. The symptoms are slow and progressive, and once the patient (Mum) becomes resistant to the medication nothing will slow it down

Brenda has been wheelchair bound now for over 8 years and unable to speak normally for 7. Despite these problems when the good days come around she's still able to steal the show.

Raising money for Parkinsons UK (www.parkinsons.org.uk) means that research into the debilitating desease and care of it's suffers will advance to the point when some day may be it can be cured

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
