<p>Dear Friends</p> <p>Thanks for helping me celebrate my 40th Birthday by donating to the Edward Starr Trust Swim 4 Smiles campaign. My brother in law Rob Starr is swimming the English Channel this summer in order to raise awareness for our 21 Projects, so the least I can do to help the cause is to dedicate my Birthday to the campaign.</p> <p>We founded the Trust just under three years ago and since then have given away over a quarter of a million pounds to over 40 children's projects both in the UK and abroad. Our partners range from Naomi House Hospice in Kent, to the Arusha Wanaweza After School Centre in Tanzania, to the Hope Flowers School in Bethlehem, Palestine. This year we are hoping to raise &pound;100,000 for 21 Projects (you can learn about them <a href="http://www.starrtrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=133%3A21-projects&amp;catid=21&amp;Itemid=8">here </a>) and as of mid May, we are nearly half way there. It would be great if my Birthday can push that total just a little bit closer to our target.</p> <p>Thanks in advance for your help and for helping to make my Birthday so memorable. And of course thanks for being part of my life and making the first 40 years worth celebrating!</p>
