<p>On Sunday the 20th May 2012 I will be running the Bristol 10k (hopefully achieving a sub-45minute time) in aid of Ostomy Lifestyle, especially running for little Welsh Firecracker Rosemary Griffiths (Rose to her friends and family of course)... who is very much alive & kicking thanks to this amazing charity. :-)</p>
<p>Ostomy Lifestyle (<a href="http://www.ostomylifestyle.org/">http://www.ostomylifestyle.org/</a>) is a UK charity that provides support, advice and information to anyone affected by stoma surgery on their bowel or bladder.</p>
<p>A little bumph about them "The medical conditions that lead to stoma surgery can affect people of any age, gender, profession or race. We seek to empower people, enabling them to make informed choices and to communicate frankly about all aspects of stoma surgery, and we are working to raise awareness of ostomy issues, amongst both the medical profession and the general public."</p>
<p><em>Rose</em>... I guess I work with them as anything to do with pooh or stoma bags is all a little taboo and i want to show people there is nothing to be shy or embarrassed about! If I'd of had the stoma fitted years ago i wouldn't of missed out on 8 years of my life being ill and almost dying several times. Suppose that is why i did the undies fashion show, the more you get to see it the less you are afraid of it! Not sure if that makes sense! ... It really is a good cause and helps so many people! I didn't realise how little i do helps so many!</p>
