Ride the 'BIG Wheel' · 15 August 2010

Wakefield Hospice provides high quality palliative and end-of-life care to people with serious illnesses. We aim to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients and their families. Thanks to everyone who raises funds to ensure we’re here to support families in Wakefield.

Story

On 15th August 2010, setting off from Pugney's Country Park in Wakefield I will be taking part in a 20 mile cycle ride for the Wakefield Hospice.

I have paid my entry free and now call on you friends and family to give whatever you can in sponsorship to aid the great work Wakefield Hospice do.

If you cant afford to donate anything then why not think about joining in

Thanks

Darren

About Wakefield Hospice

"Wakefield Hospice is a purpose-built specialist palliative care unit that opened in April 1990 providing 8 single in-patient bedrooms, a Day Care Unit for 16 patients, bereavement support and education.

In 1999 the Hospice was extended and a further 8 beds were provided in two 4-bed bays and accommodation was added for physio and complementary therapies.

Over the years the Day Care Unit developed initially into a Day Therapy Unit and ultimately into a Drop-In Centre providing therapies, information and care for patients, carers and bereaved "
