Why the New York City Marathon? Someone made a throw away comment to Darren one day in the Gym about having something to work towards to motivate his workouts. They probably meant a 10K run or maybe a half marathon. But never underestimate a man on the verge of 40. Darren decided on the NYC marathon and dragged me in for support. We decided to try to raise some money for a good cause to focus our efforts.......... 

Why Marie Curie Cancer Care? Around 40% of people develop cancer at some time in their lives, and every year, cancer claims the lives of more than 150,000 people in the UK. Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families. To fund an 8 hour Marie Curie Nursing night shift costs £160, so every £20 raised in sponsorship, provides one hour of nursing care, which can really make a difference to someone with cancer.

Marie Curie Cancer can’t do their vital work without you.  It’s as simple as that.  So please dig deep and donate now.
