Having lost a number of family members and friends to cancer and previously completed log runs of 10 miles upwards for Barnsley Hospice I thought I would have a crack at a marathon to raise some funds.  I am most of the way through my training programme at the moment and it is going OK although the long weekend runs feel like an eternity!!  This will be my first marathon and hopefully not the last either.
