Hi, my name is Darryl and I'm a Regional Delivery Manager for Wickes. I have been chosen to complete the Chairmans Challenge in Alaska treking through the Talkeetna Moungtain range near Anchorage. The trek will last for 8 days, each day we will hike for 8-10 hours with full packs weighing upto 40kg's through a variety of wilderness terrain. Much of the terrain will be steep and most of this exploratory route is completely off-trail. We will reach altitudes of between 800m and 2000m. On the last day of the trek we will be completing a technical ice climb on a glacier followed by a river rafting run down the Class IV Matanuska River. As you can see this is a massive challenge for a great and worthwhile cause.
