Tour D'Ecosse for Alzheimers Research UK · 16 August 2013

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Never mind the Tour de France this is the Tour d'Ecosse.  On the 16th and 17th of August, myself and 2 other plucky jocks will cycle 200 miles in two days visiting four Scottish Cities in aid of Alzheimers's Research UK.

This is for all my friends who laughed at me when I told them in February that I was going to do this. For all the comments of "Daryl doesn't do cardio", "Daryl can't even drive 200 miles without wanting to go for a nap" and the standard issue comment of..."Is Daryl even big enough to ride a bike??"...well folks I couldn't have done this without your positivity and belief in me!!!

The task in hand:

Stage 1 - Glasgow to Edinburgh taking in the picturesque views of Coatbridge and Falkirk.

Stage 2 - Edinburgh to Dundee, over the bridge through the Kingdom's towns of Kirkcaldy, Burntisland and the famous St Andrews before a sprint finish into the City of Discovery

Stage 3 - On day 2 and assuming our bikes haven't been nicked we will leave Dundee for the long run up the coast to Aberdeen.

This is a great cause we are raising money for so please help me make this ridiculously long ride worthwhile and help me reach my target of £350!
