I have a number of reasons for attempting this challenge the charity itself is a very worthwhile and hardworking operation that supports fire officers who have been injured and has no government funding . Just to keep running it needs 9 million pounds per year so it relies on donations and fundraisers. My other reason for doing this is as a lot of people will know i was fairly ill last year with ulcerative colitis, luckily im on the road to recovery now and cycling has been a big part in that (not to mention the medicines lol) so i see this as a challenge !!
