We provide Defibrillators and other life saving equipment and deliver Emergency Life Support training in schools and throughout the community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are aiming to raise funds to help our community purchase a defibrillator from the charity Lucky2BHere. Laggan is a truly amazing place to live but a very hard place to get in a hurry. Having access to this life saving equipment and being trained in how to use it, the community may increase the chances of survival after a cardiac arrest. The annual Laggan 10k was all the inspiration we needed, which is just as well, as initially we could only run one mile without collapsing.

It would be great if you would sponsor us by donating via this page.

Many Thanks Dave, Wendy & Mairi

Lucky2BHere is all about saving lives by placing lifesaving medical equipment in rural areas where Heartstart teams deliver Emergency Life Support (ELS) and defibrillator training. This empowers local communities to manage their own situations from the time a life threatening incident arises until the medical professionals arrive. Lucky2BHere, supported by Chest,Heart and Stroke Scotland, is also a driving force in campaigning for training of all secondary school pupils in Scotland in basic life-saving techniques as part of the school curriculum.
