Dragon Boat Charity Challenge · 6 September 2009

My Sight Nottinghamshire (Formerly Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind /NRSB) is a local charity which exists to ensure people living with sight loss across Nottinghamshire have access to the same life opportunities as everyone else.

Story

In a moment of weakness, 19 guys from Barratt/David Wilson Homes have agreed to participate in this year's Charity Dragon Boat race to be held on the River Trent on Sunday 6 September 2009. Our team name is BLAZIN' PADDLES.

Being a Senior member of the team, I ended up with the most important job on the boat: the drummer!!!! Yes, really.

To help us all get over the shock, both of actually entering the event and my drumming, it really would be appreciated if you were able to sponsor us in our attempt to bring a bit of rhythm, colour and style to this event (note there was no comment on our competitiveness - or lack of it!).
If you really have nothing better to do, you could come and support and/or laugh at us on the day - the event runs from 930am to 500pm - but don't leave it too late! With our crew, we could be eliminated by 1000am!!

You can either donate via this page or you can make cheques payable to 'Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind' and send to:
