All through the year, every year, many of our serving and ex-serving personnel and their dependants need asssitance and support.  To this end I am continously looking for ways to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal - The number one charity for ALL serving and ex-serving personnel.  Events include humping 18 stone of ex-Matelot around the 10-mile Bupa Great South Run every year, riding 1000+ miles in under 24hrs in association with the Iron Butt Association ( www.ironbuttuk.org http://www.rblr.co.uk/content/RBLR1000.html) and new for 2013 I'm doing the Karrimor Great Trail Challenge in the Lake District  Full details of this event can be seen at the Legion Riders' website:

I have also completed the American Legion Riders Legacy Run 2010 (www.travelpod.com/davegibson) involving 400 US and 8 UK Legion Riders riding across 6 states in 5 days.  I will also be taking part in this years Legacy Run from Indianapolis to Houston.  Please see: (www.legion.org/riders). 

Many other events like March 4 Honour and local events, to numerous to mention, are also undertaken to support our veterans and current serving boys and girls.

All funds are going towards the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal to support our serving and ex-serving Armed Forces personnel who have bravely put thier lives on the line for our country.

Let us not forget that the Poppy is there to remind us all year round about our commarades whether they be fallen, injured or still serving.
