51 Miles Kirkby in Ashfield to Glossop · 29 June 2013

Story

Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page.

My friend (Wendy's) Mum Beryl was diagnosed with aggressive, terminal Bladder Cancer in September 2012.  She was being looked after and treated by the staff on the Oncology Unit at Kings Mill Hospital and Wendy decided to set a challenge to raise money directly for the Unit.

Beryl was looking forwards to us completing the challenge but, unfortunately after suffering complications, Beryl sadly passed away much sooner than expected.

The challenge is still on and just as important.  On the 29th & 30th June 2013 , a team of us will  be walking / treking 51 miles from Kirkby in Ashfield to Glossop.  Day 1 is 29 miles from start to Hathersage and Day 2 will be a trek to and over Kinder Scout.

There are costs involved with this challenge and we have been lucky enough that we've had generous donations from three companies that will cover these costs (Noyantis Ltd, Dentsys Ltd and InspHire Ltd.) This means that ALL the donations we raise can go direct to the charity. We thank these companies very much for their help.

Now we need your help, we can't raise money without you.  Any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated by us and the Oncology Unit and we all thank you for your very kind donation.

On behalf of Wendy and her family, myself and everyone involved in making this challenge a success, we Thank You very much for your Support.

Thanks everyone.
