Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

At Activity Alliance, we believe that everyone belongs in sport and physical activity. Yet, disabled people remain the least active in our society. Our strategy, We All Belong, drives meaningful change by tackling the biggest challenges disabled people face when trying to be active in sport.

Story

I've got a charity place to run the London Marathon ..... so pleeeeease sponsor me. I'm not a natural runner and this is a big personal challenge.

I chose to do it for the EFDS as I've experienced what sport and the outdoors can do for health and wellbeing irrespective of sporting talent.

My dad's kidneys failed when he was a young man. Although never a sportsman, a few months after pioneering transplant surgery he cycled the 70 miles from home in Leicester to Addenbrookes Hospital for charity and took part in the Transplant Olympics. This made such a difference to his health, confidence and well-being. Remembering this still inspires me to this day.

If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift for free.

Go on .... please do it now.

Thanks!!
